I am currently working in a mixed secondary school based in Dublin. I work in an Autism classroom with mixed abilities & needs. I enjoy creating worksheets for students in my class that helps them and teachers work through L2LP & recently L1LP. I started off when working with 3rd years on L2LP and created a set of worksheets for their SPHE CBA which helped them work on subject matter is a way that was easier to digest but also challenging their own creativity.

Worksheets to take the child through a journey to create a character and a setting. Will their main character be a child, an adult or an animal? Will the story be set in the local park, a different country or outer space? Let your student’s imagination run wild! It helps the student learns that stories have a beginning, middle and an end. Encouraging the student to expand on their story idea using drawing of pictures and expand into words. With your help the student can understand that to set an event with help give structure in a story, help them by revisiting some of their favorite books. The event or turning point helps to make a story more interesting. It can be where a character discovers a superpower or a character creates a surprise. Encourage the student to think of something that the person reading it would least expect or just a sequence of events such as building a snowman or holding a party. Their answers don’t always have to make sense , let your student unleash their imagination! A good ending is the perfect way to finish a story. What happened to the characters once the event or turning point was finished? Were they able to finally achieve/win/fix/create something, or did the character learn an important lesson?
